Jaipur has so many beautiful places that you will need at least two to three days to see everything properly. The most famous spot is Amber Fort, which opens at 8 in the morning and closes at 5:30 in the evening. Try to reach early so you can ride an elephant up the hill before it gets too hot. City Palace opens at 9:30 AM and you can see royal clothes, old paintings, and even weapons used by kings. Hawa Mahal looks best from outside, so take photos from the street – it opens at 9 AM. Jantar Mantar is right next to City Palace and has huge instruments that tell time and track stars. If you love shopping, visit Johari Bazaar for jewelry and Bapu Bazaar for clothes and shoes. Most monuments charge entry fees between 50 to 500 rupees, and children often get discounts. Keep your tickets safe because some places check them twice.

The best time to visit Jaipur is from October to March when the weather is nice and cool. Summers from April to June are very hot with temperatures going above 45 degrees, so avoid visiting during these months unless you really have to. Monsoon comes in July and August, bringing some rain and making everything look green and fresh. Winter months of December and January can be cold in the mornings and evenings, so carry a jacket. Jaipur Literature Festival happens in January and attracts people from all over the world. Holi in March is super colorful and fun if you want to play with colors. Plan your day to visit forts in the morning when it’s cooler, rest during afternoon heat, and go to markets in the evening. Wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot, and don’t forget your camera to capture all the pink buildings and beautiful views.
