Famous Agra Jaipur Delhi Monuments and Forts

Delhi has some of the most famous monuments in India. The Red Fort is huge and made of red sandstone - this is where Mughal emperors lived with their families. Qutub Minar is a very tall tower that you can see from far away, and it was built over 800 years ago. India Gate is a big arch that reminds us of brave soldiers, and people love to have picnics there in the evening. Humayun's Tomb is another beautiful building with gardens all around it. You will also find Jama Masjid, one of the biggest mosques in India, where thousands of people can pray together. Each monument has its own story about the people who built it and why.

Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, which everyone knows as one of the seven wonders of the world. Emperor Shah Jahan built it for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, and it took 22 years to complete. The white marble changes color during different times of the day - pink in the morning, white in the afternoon, and golden at sunset. Agra Fort is another must-see place that sits on the banks of the Yamuna river. This red fort has palaces, gardens, and even a prison where Shah Jahan spent his last days looking at the Taj Mahal. Fatehpur Sikri is nearby and worth visiting too - it's an entire city made of red stone that was abandoned after just 15 years.

Jaipur is called the Pink City because most buildings are painted pink. Amber Fort sits on a hill and has beautiful mirror work inside the palaces that sparkles when light hits it. City Palace is still home to Jaipur's royal family, and you can see their collection of clothes, weapons, and royal items. Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds has 953 small windows where royal ladies used to watch street festivals without being seen. Jaigarh Fort has the world's largest cannon on wheels, and Nahargarh Fort gives you an amazing view of the whole pink city below. Jantar Mantar is a special place with giant instruments used to study stars and planets - kids find it very interesting because everything is so big and unusual.
